Oral Drug Delivery Systems

Amongst the various routes of drug delivery, the oral route is perhaps the most preferred to the patient and the clinician alike. It is regarded as the safest and most convenient method of drug administration. For many existing and new drugs such as therapeutic peptides, peptidomimetics, oligonucleotides or plasmid DNA the oral bioavailability, however, is below a level, which would justify an oral dosage form out of economical reasons. The thiomer-technology allows ThioMatrix to overcome these problems and to guarantee a sufficient high oral uptake. In order to see the great potential of our technologies please contact us for feasibility studies.

ThioMatrix is capable of generating all types of oral delivery systems. In particular we are specialized on the development of:

• oral peptide delivery systems

• oral delivery systems for class III drugs according to the BCS
